Emovis has been awarded a contract to supply the commercial back-office system for Autoroutes et Tunnel du Mont Blanc (ATMB) as part of the conversion of the A40 corridor to free-flow tolling.
The A40 is a 60km pan-European route linking France with Italy and Switzerland. Under a contract awarded to Emovis in 2023, the corridor is being upgraded from conventional tolling to a free-flow system, with the new commercial back office supporting billing, customer management and enforcement.
The latest award covers a six-year base term with an optional four-year extension. Emovis said the system is expected to handle a projected daily volume of around 175,000 transactions.
ATMB will deploy Emovis Transact, a fully cloud-based commercial back-office platform. According to the company, the system is designed to integrate with ATMB’s existing environments, including its banking platform, and incorporates a cross-border enforcement module aimed at protecting operator revenues on the international route.

Additional functionality includes business intelligence tools to automate processes and optimise operations, as well as a responsive customer website with webchat to support self-service and user communications.
Benoit Rossi, head of sales EMEA at Emovis, said the contract underlined the company’s role in European free-flow projects.
“We are proud to strengthen our collaboration with ATMB through Emovis Transact, delivering a comprehensive solution that ensures financial integrity, optimizes operations, and enhances the user experience on this strategic corridor,” he said.
Emovis said the A40 free-flow corridor is intended to become a benchmark scheme by 2027, positioning the back-office deployment as a core element in the wider upgrade of tolling infrastructure and operations on the route.
