Daimler Truck has announced that it has eight eCitaro articulated buses delivered to das Stadtwerk.Mobilität in Regensburg.
das Stadtwerk.Mobilität is the public operator of the city bus service in Regensburg and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Stadtwerk.Regensburg .
The eight new 18.13‑meter eCitaro G buses expand Regensburg’s eCitaro fleet to a total of 20 vehicles. Since 2021, twelve 12.14‑meter eCitaro solo buses have already been in service.
The transport company thus draws on many years of experience with electric vehicles from Daimler Buses.
At the same time as the official key handover for the eight eCitaro G buses, a 3,500 m² bus depot—equipped for charging a total of 53 electric buses—was inaugurated.
In the second half of the year, Daimler Buses will deliver an additional 15 eCitaro G buses to das Stadtwerk.Mobilität.
das Stadtwerk.Mobilität operations manager, Sandra Schönherr, said: “In previous years, we tested electric buses from various manufacturers. In the end, we were convinced by the Mercedes‑Benz eCitaro due to its comfortable interior space and its long range.”
