The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), also known as Abu Dhabi Mobility, has announced the expansion of its autonomous RoboTaxi trials in partnership with Autogo and Apollo Go as part of a broader effort to advance smart and sustainable mobility across the Emirate.
Autogo, a subsidiary of UAE-based Kintsugi Holding, is working with Apollo Go, Baidu’s autonomous ride-hailing platform, to support the rollout of sixth-generation RoboTaxi vehicles – known as RT6 – on Abu Dhabi’s roads.
The vehicles, which use electric powertrains and advanced AI systems, are designed to respond in real time to road conditions, reduce human error and contribute to improved road safety.
The expansion builds on initial trial phases and is intended to pave the way for a full commercial launch by 2026.
Abu Dhabi Mobility said the move supports the Emirate’s strategy to deliver efficient, innovative and digitally enabled transport services, while ensuring alignment with regulatory and infrastructure requirements.

Dr Abdulla AlGhfeli, acting director-general of the ITC, described the expansion as “a pivotal milestone in our journey toward smart mobility” and said it reflects the Emirate’s ambition to become a global leader in intelligent transport.
Sean Teo, general manager of Kintsugi Holding, added that the RoboTaxi service aims to improve safety and sustainability, calling the new operational phase “the beginning of a transformative shift in urban mobility”.
Meanwhile, Hitesh Arora, transportation specialist and mobility expert at the ITC will further highlight Abu Dhabi’s commitment to intelligent transport planning when he speaks at Road User Charging Conference Middle East & Africa 2025, taking place at the Rosewood Abu Dhabi on 28-29 May.
