Eurowag has expanded the geographical coverage of its European Electronic Toll Service (EETS)-compliant EVA on-board unit (OBU), enabling hauliers to pay road tolls in more than 11 countries with a single device.
According to the Czech-based mobility solutions provider, the addition of Bulgaria and Switzerland to the EVA network will further simplify life for fleet operators engaged in international road freight transport.
The move forms part of a wider transition away from fragmented, country-specific toll payment systems toward a more unified European solution.
Developed in-house by Eurowag, the EVA OBU integrates a range of value-added services, including real-time telematics, route planning and fuel fraud prevention tools.

The company claims this approach not only improves fleet efficiency but also enhances driver safety and reduces the administrative burden of cross-border operations.
“Hauliers want to spend less time managing different devices and toll portals, and more time focusing on what matters – running their operations smoothly and profitably,” said Martin Vohánka, CEO of Eurowag.
“With EVA, we’re offering a comprehensive mobility solution that supports this goal.”
The EVA unit is certified for toll collection in countries including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain and now Switzerland and Bulgaria.
Further market expansion is expected later this year.
