Kapsch TrafficCom has been appointed to Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Transport Technology framework, a procurement route intended to help UK public sector organisations source transport technology via pre-agreed terms and conditions.
The framework, known as RM6347, launched in October 2025 and runs until 22 October 2027. It is designed to simplify buying for government bodies and other eligible public sector buyers by providing an established set of suppliers across multiple transport technology categories.
Kapsch TrafficCom said it has been awarded places on Lot 5 (Enforcement, Security and Compliance) and Lot 7c (Transport Network Management).

Commenting on the appointment, Tim Wray, UK sales director at Kapsch TrafficCom, said: “In light of the recent eVED or Electric Vehicle Road User Charging announcement, our inclusion in the CCS framework creates procurement routes for future distance based charging solutions and also help us support public sector organisations in achieving their transport management system objectives both efficiently and sustainably.”
The eVED reference follows the UK government’s recent consultation on the “introduction of electric vehicle excise duty (eVED)”, described as a new mileage charge for electric and plug-in hybrid cars, proposed to take effect from April 2028.
Kapsch TrafficCom said Lot 5 will support its offering around tolling and enforcement-related capabilities, while Lot 7c will support the delivery of transport network management platforms for traffic operations.
