Conduent has selected Q-Free’s Intrada Insight video toll license plate image processing system to provide New York E-ZPass member agencies with the Norwegian company’s automated image review and manual image review application software.
The contract is for six years with extension options and has a minimum value of £1.9m and a maximum value of £3.5m if options are exercised by Conduent.
The Insight system, which reportedly offers a 99.95% accuracy and read automation rate, will be used to process up to 200 million video-based license plate transactions per year.
According to Q-Free, the revenue for the contract will mostly be recognised as recurring revenue starting in early 2024.
Thale Kuvås Solberg, president and CEO of Q-Free, said: “This contract represents another key win for us in the growing tolling market in the USA.
“It demonstrates Q-Free’s global leadership in ALPR and image review technology, and also builds our recurring revenue base.”
