Sice celebrates five years of operation and maintenance of the All-Electronic Tolling system and ITS on SH 288 in Houston, Texas.
Sice stated that the SH 288 Managed Lanes span 10.3 miles in the median of the corridor, running from the US 59/I-69 interchange in Harris County to Clear Creek at the Harris–Brazoria County line.
Designed to maintain a minimum speed of 45 mph, the system applies dynamic pricing to balance traffic demand and keep Houston moving efficiently.
This connection links Downtown Houston, the Texas Medical Center, the I-610 Loop, and Beltway 8 with fast-growing communities across Harris and Brazoria counties—making it one of the region’s most significant mobility improvements.

After delivering the design-build phase, Sice took full responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and system support of the corridor’s AET and ITS infrastructure.
Sice’s scope includes tolling gantries and vehicle detection/classification systems, dynamic pricing and transaction processing platforms and ITS infrastructure, including the communications backbone that supports lane and roadside systems.
Sice also seeks to complete back-office integrations and data exchange interfaces, and real-time system monitoring, reporting, and performance analytics.
