Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) has announced a scheduled increase in toll charges across the National Road Network, effective from 1st January 2026.
The adjustment follows the application of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation rate of 2% for the period August 2024 to August 2025.
The TII Board approved the increases for the M50, Dublin Port Tunnel, and eight Public Private Partnership (PPP) toll roads, confirming contractual agreements for the respective toll schemes.
On the M50, all vehicle categories will see a 10 cent increase, with the exception of unregistered motor cars without a tag or video account. Heavy goods vehicles over 10,000 kg holding a video account will face a 20 cent increase.

Most car tolls on PPP roads remain unchanged. Only users of the M4 Kilcock–Kinnegad and M3 Clonee–Kells motorways will experience a 10 cent increase. Goods vehicles on all PPP roads will see a 10 cent rise, while HGVs over 3,500 kg with four axles or more on the M4 Kilcock–Kinnegad motorway will face a 20 cent increase.
The new agreement covers both automated recognition and manual image review of all toll passage images, processing more than 760 million images and 400 million transactions each year across Norway.
Q-Free CEO Mark Talbot said: “This project is a powerful endorsement of our technology, people and commitment to excellence.
“Norway’s environmental conditions present some of the harshest operational challenges in the world — from snow and glare to long periods of darkness — yet our systems continue to deliver exceptional accuracy and reliability.”
