Brisbane, Australia-based urban transport solutions company e-Motion Concepts (eMC) has received approval for two smart EVs.
Manufactured by RAP Intelligent Vehicle, under license from London-based Green Messenger Electric Vehicle, the CT-Kargo and CT-Kube articulated three-wheel delivery vehicles have been specifically designed for last-mile delivery tasks in urban environments.
Both vehicles are powered by electric motors and lithium-ion batteries, with a range of up to 68 miles (110km) per charge and a top speed of 31mph (50km/h), and have a width of 1m (3.2ft) and 0.8m (2.6ft) respectively, making them suitable for inner-city deliveries.
Both the CT-Kargo and CT-Kube include LED instrument screens, reversing camera and radar, Bluetooth connectivity, and a telematics-box that allows the vehicle to be remotely monitored using a smart app.
Harry Proskefalas, CEO of eMC, said: “The CT-Kargo and CT-Kube are perfectly suited to urban transport solutions. They are designed to have a low environmental impact and a smaller footprint than traditional petrol vehicles, making transport movement more efficient, and also less impactful on the city environment.
“Our strategy has a strong emphasis on aligning with commercial operators including local and national courier providers, food and goods delivery, universities and local governments in delivering long-term sustainable solutions.
“The future of logistics and transportation is high efficiency and clean energy with smart technology, and these vehicles provide the solution.”
