Transport for London (TfL) has announced the purchases of 13 Enviro100EV zero-emission buses to supplement its net-zero fleet.
The Enviro100EV will be the first next-generation Alexander Dennis electric buses for Transport UK London Bus, and will be used on route G1, which provides local links between Battersea and Streatham.
The 10-mile route loops to serve housing estates as well as St George’s Hospital, offering vital connections for South London communities without bringing tailpipe emissions into residential areas.
Alexander Dennis national account manager, Neil Gladstone, said: “We’re grateful to have been chosen by Transport UK London Bus to supply the new fleet for route G1, and delighted that these new Enviro100EV are meeting the expectations for our customer.
“We look forward to continuing to support the Transport UK London Bus team with insights from our AD Connect telematics to allow them to maximise availability, efficiency and reliability of the fleet.
“Our Enviro100EV is perfect for this kind of Transport for London route and it is great to see them bringing accessible, zero emission transport to communities in South London.”
