Blackburn, Aberdeen has seen the installation of four 240kW dual socket electric vehicle (EV) charging points.
Installed and maintained by chargepoint operator Believ, the chargers will enable eight drivers to charge their vehicles at one time.
Depending on the EV model, the chargers will enable most drivers to reach 0-80% in under 20 minutes.
This follows news that the Scottish Motor Trade Association (SMTA) has reported that Battery EV (BEV) sales surged by 57% YTD compared to 2024, and that BEVs now account for 13.5% of all new car sales in Scotland.
Believ CEO, Guy Bartlett, said: “It is fantastic to see Scotland embracing EVs and we are delighted to be supporting the local community and regular users of this major route with convenient, reliable and accessible charging infrastructure.
“The hub is helping to ensure the transition away from petrol and diesel cars is as easy as possible, in support of our mission to ensure access to sustainable transport and deliver cleaner air for all.”
