A number of word-leading commercial organisations have been confirmed as official partners of next year’s Road User Charging Conference in Brussels, Belgium.
Despite the event not taking place until 05-06 March 2024, Abu Dhabi-based Tahaluf, Toll4Europe, Vitronic and Verra Mobility have all committed to the the 21st edition of the world’s longest-running independent annual gathering of global tolling, mobility pricing and ITS professionals.
John Thornton, chair of the Road User Charging Conference, said: “To have confirmed the participation of these four businesses some eight or so months out from the event is truly a testament to the strength and reach of the Road User Charging Conference brand.
“When we say the Road User Charging Conference is global this is exactly what we mean. I’m really looking forward to working with Tahaluf, Toll4Europe, Vitronic and Verra Mobility, as well as all our speakers, to deliver a truly world-class event for the international tolling and RUC community.”
News of the partnerships came as organiser of the Road User Charging Conference, Akabo Media, also revealed the event’s preliminary agenda, which can be viewed here. What’s more, two speakers have already been confirmed for the event, which welcomes delegates from around the world and across sectors to encourage active discussion, peer-to-peer learning, and analysis of best practises for the planning, promotion and implementation of tolling and road-charging projects on motorways, highways and on roads in urban environments everywhere.
Delegates, who can save 10% by booking their conference pass before 01 September 2023, will hear from Bernd Datler, managing director of ASFiNAG, about the implementation of the Eurovignette Directive in Austria; and Luka Babnik, ETS specialist at DARS d.d. Slovenia, who will discuss the implementation of EETS as part of the DarsGo free-flow toll system.
In addition to these sessions, attendees to next year’s conference will benefit from an international range of perspectives on road-user charging and the technologies and polices shaping it via exclusive case-study presentations and panel discussions on crucial issues such as interoperability, charging models, user acceptance, sustainability, equity, politics and much more.
The most recent edition of the Road User Charging Conference took place earlier this year, on 08-09 March 2023, and saw 28 speakers from 27 countries deliver 16 hours of exclusive content to 185 delegates. Click here to read the official review.
