Digital twin technology will be implemented in Dubai following a new deal with Yutraffic FUSION and the Roads & Transport Authority Dubai (RTA).
RTA stated that the platform will form a key part of the emirate’s smart city agenda, using real-time simulation and data analytics to improve traffic efficiency, reduce emissions, and enable integrated multimodal transport.
The platform will support connected vehicle technologies and is designed to accommodate future advancements in autonomous transport.
The project is being rolled out at traffic hotspots across Dubai through a partnership between Yunex Traffic, local distribution partner Scientechnic, and the RTA.
With over three million vehicles on its roads during peak hours and hundreds of millions of annual public transport users, the city is investing in simulation-based tools to align mobility with broader environmental and infrastructure goals.
Achievements and innovations in automation and robotics will be recognised and celebrated at the fourth annual CiTTi Awards on 25 November 2025 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London. Visit www.cittiawards.co.uk to learn more about this unmissable event for the UK’s transportation sector!
