Mourão, a Portugese town 15km from the Spanish border, has seen the sixth ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) charging station installation.
The installations were completed by InstaVolt with the new site featuring two 160kW ultra-rapid chargers.
EV adoption throughout the Iberian Peninsula has seen an increase as both Portugal and Spain continue to see increased electric vehicle uptake.

EV sales in Spain surged by 134.9% in the first half of 2025 – one of the fastest growth rates in Europe – while battery EV registrations in Portugal were up 40.97% year on year in January 2025.
