Parking operator Parkin has agreed a 10-year agreement with charge&go, a subsidiary of the global technology group, e&, to deliver 200 ultra-fast Direct Current (DC) electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in Dubai.
With the initiative scheduled to commence in October 2025, the new technology aims to cut charging times to under 30 minutes, with Dubai encompassing 40,000 EVs.
Parkin currently operates a 212,000-strong network of paid parking spaces, with the network to operate under a ‘park and charge’ protocol, permitting vehicles to occupy designated bays only while actively charging.
Parkin said that the new charging points will be located in key high-traffic areas, including residential communities and major retail and leisure hubs.
Achievements and innovations in EV charging infrastructure will be celebrated at the fourth annual CiTTi Awards on 25 November 2025 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London. Visit www.cittiawards.co.uk to learn more about this unmissable event for the UK’s transportation sector!
