Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London North in Enfield has installed Evolt’s Dynamic Load Management (DLM) technology to help charge Volvo heavy goods vehicles (HGV) trucks.
Evolt’s DLM, which is being used in conjunction with a battery energy storage solution from Connected Energy, is effective in charging trucks that use high-power charging (HPC) units.
The DLM technology is capable of charging via HPC units in addition to existing AC and DC charging points.
The combination of systems and solutions has been tested and validated at Volvo Head Quarters in Gothenburg for their suitability and compatibility to the Volvo truck proposition.

In conjunction with Connected Energy’s battery storage solution, the DLM also enables Volvo to install additional charging units on site without the need to secure additional energy capacity.
The DLM system recognises unused capacity at one charger and distributes it to another, allowing other trucks to charge at an optimal rate.
Managing director of SWARCO Smart Charging Justin Meyer said: “For Volvo Trucks, this combination of technologies is a genuine game-changer in accelerating the introduction of the next generation of trucks, unencumbered by any challenges of grid capacity.
“We are pleased to support their mission to accelerate the roll out of specialist truck charging solutions across their UK dealerships.”
Achievements in EV charging infrastructure will be recognised and celebrated at the fourth annual CiTTi Awards on 25 November 2025 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London. Visit www.cittiawards.co.uk to learn more about this unmissable event for the UK’s transportation sector!
